In order to diagnose cancer in its early stages, regular cancer screening camps are organized by cancer care not only in Rajasthan but also in nearby states as well. While undergoing treatment, cancer patients constantly require blood donors. In order to fulfill the same need, regular blood donation camps are organized by cancer care. These camps are also organized in order to spread awareness amongst the society regarding blood donation and its benefits for the respective donor. These were started in the year 2002. Till now a total of 851 camps have been organized and a total of 47,735 units of blood have been received via these camps.Eye check camps are also a regular feature of Cancer Care. Free of cost cataract operations are organized every month in associated hospitals and Prem Niketan for the concerned persons.
Health talks are organized by cancer care in association with various clubs, societies, samajs, colleges etc in order to spread awareness about cancer and healthy lifestyle and many more subjects like these. More than 1000+ health talks have been organized in association with various clubs, samajs & universities.
For spreading awareness in regarding cancer and taking its proper and timely treatment, Nukkad nataks are organized by cancer care. It started in May 2019 and till now a total of 85 nukkad nataks have been organized by Cancer care.
Various awareness rallies are organized by cancer care from time to time on subjects like Quitting Tobacco, Cancer Awareness, etc. These rallies are organized with the motive of imparting useful and important information on these topics. Various schools, colleges, scouts and guides, NGOs take part in these rallies to spread this message amongst the society.
During the pandemic COVID 19, cancer care worked relentlessly towards providing food, ration and daily necessities to more than 70 thousand needy people. In view of the lack of oxygen at the peak of the second wave of COVID-19, oxygen concentrators were provided for oxygen support to the patients in need. Cancer care has also donated more than a hundred oxygen concentrators and 100 oximeters to the state government and associated government representatives. Cancer Care has also been inclined to work toward helpless animals and birds.
